Default A question to those who bought Factions at its release

Hello, this question is for the people who bought GW: Factions in the first 1-3 weeks of its release, and more importantly - those people who made assassins.

Over the months, the assassin has gone through quite a lot of punishment (people don't know how to play them, etc) so I just wanted to know where your assassin (that you made 1-3 weeks of Factions release) is today.

I still have mine, but I barely play him. When I had a lot of play time in the summer, I would go AB-ing with him, but now play time is scarce so I don't even touch him.

So...where's your assassin?

In full Vabbian armor, storing weapons and slowly going through various areas of PvE. Doesn't see much action... but then again, none of my characters really do in PvE.

My assassin (the only class I decided to play out of 2 Factions-exclusive classes) has long become my Ritualist. He's very happy and I'm very happy about him too. He's finished Factions and is now waiting for his turn in Elona (after my ranger which I am currently playing).

I made an assassin at Factions' release but deleted him a few weeks later.
+/-2 Months ago I made an assassin (female) again and started playing it again, I got up to Unwaking Waters (kurzick) before I moved to Elona. Right now I'm at the Gate of Pain.
When I've completed Elona I'll finish Cantha, then Tyria. I really like my sin

My Assassin has finished Nightfall, still play it a lot in PvE. I think my only serious complaint from a PvE standpoint is that Shadow Arts need a bit of revision to make them attractive, especially in environments like Realm of Torment.

Completed all 3 campaigns, wearing vabbian armour dyed orange+purple, and currently getting the last few sin elites i missed.

I never saw any problems with sins, and i happened to complete nightfall on my sin using both a guildie on an assassin as well as zenmai

got protector of Tyria, finished Factions, waiting for his turn in Elona.

Prophecies is awesome place for assassins (and for all noncore classes in fact), Anyone not playing assassin because he is squishy should try him out in Tyria where you can get back to learning curve that is less steep and does not contain exploding monsters.

I've had two assassins, both deleted.
If I had more character slots I would create one right away.

Mine completed Tyria, then moved to Cantha, now he's at first mission in Elona, dock. I liked him... but found out it was easier to go for KoaBD title on my necro than my sin... So salvaged his armor and stopped to play him for now. Once I'll have some free cash, i'll rebuy armor and play her again :P

Assassin? What about Ritualists? This topic is too prejudicial...

Anyways, my Ritualist was played more often than my Necromancer...until the great Ritual Lord/Spirit nerfs. Even with the recent super-buffs, they aren't that great...

A bit off-topic but, I fail to see the benefit of salvaging his armors? What do you want from them that are more expensive than the cost to craft the armors? Rare material? I doubt it. Runes? NO WAY.

off topic *cough*

anyways.

My assassin is one of my favorite characters:

-got my first tengu mask with him.
-protector of cantha
-full vabbian dyed black.
-lots of daggers.
-made him a solo green farmer.
-and is very fun to play.
-oh and beat factins with him.

mine is long gone, deleted her right after i got some nice items for her and customized them lol :s

i guess ppl only do pvp with them, or pve for shadow form.. both of which are very boring (pressing 1-2-3-4 in pvp, big challenge..)

Started..then deleted.
Started..then deleted.
Started..then deleted.

Repeat about five more times and you get the idea.

I like the class and concept..but never found it that fun to play.

I started a 'sin, played for a little bit, then deleted. I finally settled on a 'sin to keep, but he still hasn't gotten completely through factions (even though I've gotten through Factions, Prophecies and Nightfall with every other profession at least once). Sins are fun in PvP from time to time for a little ganking, but I really never found them fun for anything else.

I got my sin to Cavalon and a bit beyond, then decided to remake her and now she is lvl 20 at the last mission on the beginning island (I forget the name atm)
